"Free Guy" Movie Synopsis and Ratings Guide

PG 13           Violence and Action Throughout, Some Sexual References, and Some Strong Language Guy, a disposable, NPC character in a popular video game, wakes up every morning to his perfectly predictable but pleasant life, where he works as a Bank Teller, and hangs out with his best friend Ron, the security guard. Until one day everything changes, Guy experiences love at first sight with the girlfriend of an armed robber, who holds up his bank. Suddenly all he can think about is a future with this mystery woman. He realizes he can make this happen by getting his hands on a pair of the special glasses he’s seen the bad guys wear. The next time his bank is held up Guy disarms the robber and takes his glasses (which he comes to find give you special abilities and access to cool features within the video game). While roaming around town wearing the glasses, he runs into HER. She teaches Guy that he ca...

Outdoor Fun For The Whole Family: Bike Riding and Swan Boat Rentals, Lake Balboa (Encino) and Echo Lake (Los Angeles)

Lake Balboa, encino Echo lake, los angeles Did you know there are plenty of bike paths leading to and from Lake Balboa park? And the best part? You don't need to own a bike to enjoy them. This is my second favorite time of the year, Fall, when the trees are beginning to change color. Brilliant orange, red and yellow colors grace the landscape. The weather is perfect, sunny, with a slight breeze (most of the time). Feel like bike riding now?, Inside the park resides "Wheel Fun Rentals". No reservation is required, and you are free to ride outside of the park. My favorite bike path is the one that takes you around the outside of the park, in a complete circle. It affords you beautiful views of the golf course, hills, mountains, and tree lined streets. (It is not for the faint of heart, just a warning).  The second best bike route takes you around half the inside of the park, affording you views of the lake, shimmering bright blue in the sunlight. It takes you into the more ...

Pool Time! My Resort Pass Experience

Ever heard of Resort Pass? I hadn't until recently. Just as I never knew people were renting their pools out on Airbnb. But that's a subject for another day. While searching for that perfect pool to chill at for the day, on Airbnb, and not finding one beautiful or fun enough, I stumbled across Resortpass.com. Where thousands of hotels around the United States and Mexico offer you the opportunity to utilize their pools, spas, board rooms, fitness centers, and even regular rooms, for a few hours or the entire day. Which is great if you can't afford to stay at these more expensive hotels, but would still like to experience what it's like to be a guest there. Resort passes range from 25 dollars to more than 600 dollars, depending on the hotel (3,4, or 5 star), and whether or not you reserve special services or items in advance. For example, I purchased two pool, day passes for the MdR Marina del Rey hotel, for only 25 dollars each. I had the option to reserve a day use cab...

The Awe Inspiring Mount Rubidoux Hiking Trail (Riverside, CA)

The Awe Inspiring   Mount Rubidoux   One feels transported to another place. In my case I felt as if I were on vacation in Arizona, due to the design of rock formations on the trail, and colors of the vast landscape. Which is what you want out of a daytime excursion (if you are unable to travel, such as conditions are now with the Corona Virus) Please exercise caution. Yes, we enjoyed ourselves immensely, but most visitors were not wearing masks. Paulo reminded me it was most likey because Mount Rubidoux is located in Riverside (a different county) This is seriously one of the most beautiful hiking trails I've ever visited. During the entire hike you are rewarded with sweeping views of the city, the river, and even a lake. On the way to the top, there are countless benches /look out spots, a smaller charming bridge, followed by the bridge at Peace Tower. Which is a replica of a noted bridge in Alcantara, Spain, built in 1925. Carved into the top of the tower are the name...

Color Street Nail Polish Strips

I wasn't expecting to like Color Street Nail polish strips as much as I do. If you've never heard of Color Street, they consist of real nail polish in a dry strip form. They are long lasting, durable, and come in  many beautiful and fun designs, for all seasons. For a long period of time I couldn't live without going to the salon once every three weeks to a month, to get my nails done. At first I sported acrylics, then switched to gel nails. I was getting both a manicure and pedicure, throwing a lot of money away. Sure, I felt I deserved it, I work hard and wanted to pamper myself. Plus, I felt more feminine and attractive. Unfortunately my polish would start to chip off a couple days later, driving me absolutely batty! I felt the need to rush back to the salon to have them repair a nail or two, which would cost even more money. I finally just grew tired of it and stopped going to the salon. I felt happy, like I was saving money. Fast forward several years later, and I was ...

Ocean Trails Reserve - Rancho Palos Verdes (Ocean views galore)

Ocean Trails Reserve - Palos Verdes                 By: Dahlia Acevedo Where has this Ocean trail been all my life?! I viewed several posts about the place, as well as photographs, which did not do this place justice at all! We are talking 360 beautiful views of the golf course (which runs parallel to the trail at first), gorgeous homes in the distance, the mountains, as well as constant ocean views. Let me just take a moment to comment on the color of the ocean (really colors), A deep blue with turquoise pools, crystal clear in spots, exposing the algae below (coastline). There are four paths, two that lead down to the beach area, which is completely covered in small, grayish white rocks. Making it totally unique and picturesque. I've never seen anything like it. I've  posted a picture of the awesome looking zig zag trail leading down to the beach. Once you descend, you will see the bottom half of the cliffs are covered in rolling green, gra...
