"Free Guy" Movie Synopsis and Ratings Guide

              PG 13

Violence and Action Throughout, Some Sexual References, and Some Strong Language

Guy, a disposable, NPC character in a popular video game, wakes up every morning to his perfectly predictable but pleasant life, where he works as a Bank Teller, and hangs out with his best friend Ron, the security guard. Until one day everything changes, Guy experiences love at first sight with the girlfriend of an armed robber, who holds up his bank. Suddenly all he can think about is a future with this mystery woman. He realizes he can make this happen by getting his hands on a pair of the special glasses he’s seen the bad guys wear. The next time his bank is held up Guy disarms the robber and takes his glasses (which he comes to find give you special abilities and access to cool features within the video game). While roaming around town wearing the glasses, he runs into HER. She teaches Guy that he can accumulate points fast by committing crimes and disposing of other players in the game. Against this, Guy figures out he can accumulate even more points by committing good deeds and fighting crime. In a matter of a few days he becomes the highest scoring player in the game, with the most amount of followers. People begin tuning in just to see what Guy will do next. The creators of the game aren’t happy with this turn of events. They come to find out Guy is an NPC and try to eliminate him.

Violence and Action Throughout: The following violence is NOT graphic (bloody or realistic). Characters are shot left and right in this film; most in the chest, a few in the head. There are car crashes, shoot outs, explosions, and fist fights: In one scene Marina fights other players with a sword and axe. She slices one in the stomach, and stabs two others in the chest. Guy steps in to help and breaks other player’s arm. Marina stabs other player in the neck with a knife and throws him through the air with it:  In another scene a player jumps out a window on fire. He gets up and runs down the street on fire.

Some Sexual References: Sexual references that are more suggestive in nature and do not crudely refer to people engaging in sexual activity. Some examples include: “My viewers would just banana crème sandwich all over themselves”, and It’s like losing my virginity, but in my mouth”.

Some Strong Language:  There were a few uses of the F word, and a stepped on Mother F*. As well as two uses of the D word, that refers to a man’s genitalia. And finally, one use of the middle finger.

Other:  There IS some other mild PG language, such as God dam, shit, and we're screwed.

Ocean Trails Reserve - Rancho Palos Verdes (Ocean views galore)

Ocean Trails Reserve - Palos Verdes                 By: Dahlia Acevedo Where has this Ocean trail been all my life?! I viewed several posts about the place, as well as photographs, which did not do this place justice at all! We are talking 360 beautiful views of the golf course (which runs parallel to the trail at first), gorgeous homes in the distance, the mountains, as well as constant ocean views. Let me just take a moment to comment on the color of the ocean (really colors), A deep blue with turquoise pools, crystal clear in spots, exposing the algae below (coastline). There are four paths, two that lead down to the beach area, which is completely covered in small, grayish white rocks. Making it totally unique and picturesque. I've never seen anything like it. I've  posted a picture of the awesome looking zig zag trail leading down to the beach. Once you descend, you will see the bottom half of the cliffs are covered in rolling green, gra...

Color Street Nail Polish Strips

I wasn't expecting to like Color Street Nail polish strips as much as I do. If you've never heard of Color Street, they consist of real nail polish in a dry strip form. They are long lasting, durable, and come in  many beautiful and fun designs, for all seasons. For a long period of time I couldn't live without going to the salon once every three weeks to a month, to get my nails done. At first I sported acrylics, then switched to gel nails. I was getting both a manicure and pedicure, throwing a lot of money away. Sure, I felt I deserved it, I work hard and wanted to pamper myself. Plus, I felt more feminine and attractive. Unfortunately my polish would start to chip off a couple days later, driving me absolutely batty! I felt the need to rush back to the salon to have them repair a nail or two, which would cost even more money. I finally just grew tired of it and stopped going to the salon. I felt happy, like I was saving money. Fast forward several years later, and I was ...
