The Awe Inspiring Mount Rubidoux Hiking Trail (Riverside, CA)

The Awe Inspiring   Mount Rubidoux   One feels transported to another place. In my case I felt as if I were on vacation in Arizona, due to the design of rock formations on the trail, and colors of the vast landscape. Which is what you want out of a daytime excursion (if you are unable to travel, such as conditions are now with the Corona Virus) Please exercise caution. Yes, we enjoyed ourselves immensely, but most visitors were not wearing masks. Paulo reminded me it was most likey because Mount Rubidoux is located in Riverside (a different county) This is seriously one of the most beautiful hiking trails I've ever visited. During the entire hike you are rewarded with sweeping views of the city, the river, and even a lake. On the way to the top, there are countless benches /look out spots, a smaller charming bridge, followed by the bridge at Peace Tower. Which is a replica of a noted bridge in Alcantara, Spain, built in 1925. Carved into the top of the tower are the names of vario

Color Street Nail Polish Strips

I wasn't expecting to like Color Street Nail polish strips as much as I do. If you've never heard of Color Street, they consist of real nail polish in a dry strip form. They are long lasting, durable, and come in  many beautiful and fun designs, for all seasons. For a long period of time I couldn't live without going to the salon once every three weeks to a month, to get my nails done. At first I sported acrylics, then switched to gel nails. I was getting both a manicure and pedicure, throwing a lot of money away. Sure, I felt I deserved it, I work hard and wanted to pamper myself. Plus, I felt more feminine and attractive. Unfortunately my polish would start to chip off a couple days later, driving me absolutely batty! I felt the need to rush back to the salon to have them repair a nail or two, which would cost even more money. I finally just grew tired of it and stopped going to the salon. I felt happy, like I was saving money. Fast forward several years later, and I was

Orange Julious Smoothie Drink (a chikdhood favorite)

Orange Julious Smoothie Drink (a childhood favorite) 1- 12 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate 4- teaspoons vanilla extract 2 cups milk 2-3 packets sweet n low 2-3 teaspoons sugar Ice The original recipe called for 1/2 cup sugar per 1 cup milk (2 servings). This is the lower calorie option (4 servings), sweeten to your liking based on the above ingredients.  Ditections:   blend milk and vanilla extract together.  Add frozen orange juice concentrate and blend.  Add sugar and ice to thicken, and blend one more time. If too tart tasting add more ice or water. ENJOY!

Ocean Trails Reserve - Rancho Palos Verdes (Ocean views galore)

Ocean Trails Reserve - Palos Verdes                 By: Dahlia Acevedo Where has this Ocean trail been all my life?! I viewed several posts about the place, as well as photographs, which did not do this place justice at all! We are talking 360 beautiful views of the golf course (which runs parallel to the trail at first), gorgeous homes in the distance, the mountains, as well as constant ocean views. Let me just take a moment to comment on the color of the ocean (really colors), A deep blue with turquoise pools, crystal clear in spots, exposing the algae below (coastline). There are four paths, two that lead down to the beach area, which is completely covered in small, grayish white rocks. Making it totally unique and picturesque. I've never seen anything like it. I've  posted a picture of the awesome looking zig zag trail leading down to the beach. Once you descend, you will see the bottom half of the cliffs are covered in rolling green, grass like moss. Again very picturesque

Scrap Booking Made Easy

Scrap Booking-A Learning Experience Number one: Go somewhere interesting! Ha! and take pictures to document your experience. There are tutorials online, but since everyone adds their own flare, it is not necessary to watch them. It's really just, throw some wallpaper, borders, pictures, stickers, embellishments and thoughts onto your pages, in whatever order you please. Exercise your creativity. Purchase an album specifically for scrap booking. Blank pages without plastic cover sheets. Use your itinerary sheet to help you remember places visited on what day, and activities. Even though the Canada trip is still pretty fresh in my mind, I had trouble remembering the order of things, and names of places. I had to refer back to the itinerary many times. I wanted it to be an accurate account for future reference. I have my husband to thank for printing it out, was his idea to include it in the scrap book.  Use what you brought back from your trip, gift wrapping / decorative

Scrap Book, Canada BC (Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler)

I Tried my hand at scrap booking for the first time. Something I've always wanted to do. Started with our last trip to Canada, BC (Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler). An incredibly gorgeous and adventurous, more so then you could ever imagine, trip. The photos really dont do it justice. I would definitely revisit Vancouver (fell in love with the place), with its Sea Wall bike trail, Capilano Suspension / Tree top adventure park, its nightlife and food. AND Whistler, stunning beauty everywhere. We would have loved an extra day to visit Blackcomb village / community.
