Jennifer Bradley, 4 in One Camera Ready Foundation

By Dahlia Acevedo

I have started to like makeup for the first time in my life. In my twenties and thirties all I wore was eye shadow, mascara and lipstick. My skin was firm and soft looking. Once I turned forty I started to lose some of my natural coloring and looked older. I started to wear eyeliner and blush. Fast forward a few years, I noticed red patches or small bouts of acne have started to appear. And lately, as I approach  46, I have noticed more sun spots have appeared.
Nothing I purchased worked to cover it all up. Foundations felt heavy, smelled funky, dried out my skin, caused me to break out, and made me look older! I was desperate for a good product.
I kept seeing a video of Jennifer Bradley applying the 4 in 1 to her face after a chemical peal, as well as before and after photos of women who have experienced great results after using the product. I caved and purchased the foundation, even though I wouldn't normally spend so much on makeup. It turns out it was worth every penny. I have since purchased her Flawless Photo finish Powder, and blush. I may have to wear more makeup now that I'm older, but I don't have to look as if I am wearing more. And guess what?, These products do not make me look older!

The 4 in One Camera Ready Foundation acts as a:

Concealer: A small amount of the product goes a long way in covering up redness, acne and scarring. After applying your usual lotions to a fresh canvas, allowing them a few minutes to dry,  apply the four in one. This first light layer acts as a concealer, for under eye circles as well. The product keeps its promise as a medical grade makeup for sensitive skin. It actually reduces swelling from irritation and bumpiness from areas of skin afflicted with acne. It will not clog your pores and cause you to break out. Nor does it settle in lines or cake in spots. It  moisturizes and will not dry out your skin.

Primer: I recommend applying a second light layer of the makeup to further cover everything up and create a perfectly blended canvas. This second layer acts like a primer. For those of you who are unfamiliar with how primers work, they smooth out the skin, allow for better application of makeup,  and keep said makeup from fading and smudging. I always apply a moisturizer to my eyelids, followed by a primer. The only makeup I reapply is my lipstick.

Sun screen: There is no need to apply a layer of sun block underneath your makeup. This product 100% protects your skin from the sun. I've worn it to the beach, hiking, and whenever I spend large chunks of time outdoors. I never get a sun burn and love knowing I don't have to worry about getting one. Sun screens contain oils that cause break outs, and tend to irritate your eyes, even when you don't apply them near the area. They can be thick, smelly, messy and expensive.

Waterproof Formula:
I've worn it to aqua aerobics, and sweat buckets during weight training and zumba. It doesn't run or leave weird streaks on the face. I've noticed it only comes off when I dab my forehead with a towel, clean my face with a baby wipe, or wash my face.

The 4 in 1 is almost an exact match to my skin color. I find when I apply a fine layer of the Flawless Photo finish Powder afterwards, the color blends in better, and looks more natural. The product is so light you don't feel like you are wearing anything. I have tried other foundations in the past. They tend to dry out my skin, cake in spots, accentuate wrinkles, come off easily, and make me look older. I am so happy to have found this product. It is definitely worth the asking price. I've already had it for months and have so much left.

Hiking Among the Beautiful Wild Flowers in Malibu

Getting out in nature is good for the soul, to unplug and get away from it all for a few hours. As you know contributes to peace of mind and emotional well being. What could be better than hiking by the ocean with it's spectacular views, light ocean breeze and fresh air. Located off PCH Highway, both hiking spots are within a couple blocks of each other, and very easy to find.  Malibu Bluffs Park: One of my all time favorite places to go. Is always a pleasure, especially during the spring time. I have fond memories of taking my son there as a kid, picnicking and flying kites. There are two cool playgrounds, a sand pit and a zip line area. The place has changed a lot since I've been there last (about a year ago). They have cleared away brush from the walking path around the grass, allowing for additional views of the ocean and homes on the hillsides (which are fabulously covered in yellow wild flowers at the moment). To my absolute delight, they have created a clearly marke

Discover the Picturesque Longridge Park Hiking Trail (Sherman Oaks, CA)

Me and the hubs out to discover new hiking trails in the San Fernando Valley, hit up Dixie Canyon Park first, in Sherman Oaks. First of all, Park??? There is a clearly marked trail that leads to, well, nowhere. At a certain point, after hiking about ten minutes, the trail (?) becomes WAY too narrow and dangerous with loose gravel and mud pockets. We had to turn around and head back the way we came. This is a charming little spot if you live in the direct vicinity of the "Park". It is very green and shaded over. On the plus side, the drive up is VERY pretty. Dixie Canyon is tucked into the hills of a picturesque, upper class neighborhood, full of McMansions, and all around beautiful homes of varying architecture. After Dixie Canyon I wasn't ready to go home. So, I chose for us to visit Longridge Park (?)  Longridge Park Trailhead is located up in the hills of Sherman Oaks, at the end of a lovely residential street. Again, the drive up was spectacular, through a fairy tale

Absolutely Magical butterfly Den Discovery! In Lake Balboa!

So, the butterflies have emerged once again now that the weather has warmed quite a bit. They are everywhere, BUT I have discovered the mother of all butterflies dens. A truely magical place hidden away from the main paths. While out for a bike ride today I decided to take a semi-dirt path, almost completely hidden off the main street. I had accidentally stumbled across it before, but hadn't the time to explore it. Today upen entering the bike path, off Burbank Blvd, I was completely taken aback by the sheer amount of butterflies, seemingly attracted to the bright yellow wild flowers growing along both sides of the path. I stopped for quite a long while to video tape them, but upon viewing the footage, I realized it does not compare / do the place justice. I hopped back on my bike and rode a little further, which is when I saw a closed off (barred) path to my right, with a small opening, large enough to walk a bike through. This hidden jem of a path contained even more
